Draw attention to special offers or featured products

Web banners can be used on your own website to promote special offers etc or on a thirdparty website to funnel traffic back to your own site.

There are different types to choose from:

Single frame: A static image that looks like a small poster with a clear message

Short sequence: Use 2 or more frames to tell a story step by step. The reader gradually catches on to your mesage by focussing on one idea at a time. This avoids overloading the eye with information while building interest as they go. The sequence plays through at a rate of 5 or 6 seconds per frame. This subtle movement draws sufficient attention without distracting too much from the main content.

Short movie: Animations are fun to watch and reward the viewer for paying attention. Your message is conveyed effectively when accompanied with a positive emotional response. They should be tasteful and succinct to avoid annoyance and clashing with the surrounding page content. Anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds in length is generally sufficient.

How they work

Short sequences and movies are designed using Adobe Flash software. Sequence banners are exported as animated gif format while movie banners are converted to HTML5 for universal playback. The banners will click back to any chosen page on your site.
